Safety Culture & Continuous Improvement
At R.J. Forbes, safety isn't a checkbox — it's the standard. We train for it, plan around it, and expect it on every job. It's embedded in our culture and woven into every step of our operations. Here's how we implement that daily:
Daily Safety Meetings & Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Before work begins, our crews review tasks, identify potential hazards, and implement mitigation steps using Skillsignal – a cloud-based safety management system.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All personnel are outfitted with task-specific PPE, including respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, safety glasses, fall protection, and more, depending on job requirements.
Third-Party Oversight
In addition to our full-time Safety Manager, we retain Contractors Risk Management (CRM) for audits, compliance reviews, and training updates.
Real-Time Documentation
All lift inspections, JHAs, and safety checklists are completed and logged daily, ensuring accountability and transparency.
Leadership Involvement
Supervisors lead by example, reinforcing safety expectations and stopping work when conditions are unsafe – no exceptions.
Continuous Improvement
We regularly review incidents (if any), near-misses, and feedback from the field to improve our processes and prevent recurrence.
